Hiring an employee:

I am a foreign company, with no place of business in France and I would like to hire an employee to work in France. What must I do?

  1. Click on the following address: http://www.net-entreprises.fr/html/foreign_companies.htm to complete an E0 form.
    Do not forget to enclose a written agreement with this form if you wish to appoint a single representative residing in France.
  2. As soon as you receive your SIRET identification number, and 8 days before hiring your first employee, register on net-entreprises.fr and complete a déclaration unique d’embauche (DUE).

Do I have to pay to use the registration services on net-entreprises?

No. Registration with the Social Security institutions and the Insee, information, registration and on-line declarations on net-entreprises.fr are entirely free of charge.

What is the procedure for hiring more than one employee?

This is the same procedure as for the first employee. Register on the net-entreprises website using your SIRET number (if you have not already done so) and complete a Déclaration unique d’embauche (DUE) 8 days before hiring the employee.
This can be done on-line using net-entreprises.fr.

Is it possible to declare and pay contributions on-line?

Yes. As soon as a company receives a SIRET number, it is possible to declare Social Security contributions on-line on net-entreprises.fr.
To do so, companies must register on the website. Registration and all net-entreprises services are free of charge.

On-line payment is also possible provided that the company has a French bank account.
